Over the course of my career, I've had the pleasure of working across multiple industries and sectors including advertising, retail, fintech and web3. I consider it a privilege to be able to say that I love my work.
I specialise in interface design and user experience, creating beautifully considered, user-centred solutions for all kinds of digital projects, ranging from large-scale web builds to mobile applications and campaign experiences.
Across many of the projects over the years, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in creating, maintaining, and improving design systems and component libraries.
Moreover, I have extensive experience in team leadership and mentoring, and I enjoy the challenge of building, leading, and nurturing a diverse and influential team of designers. I believe in a collaborative design process where discussion and debate are welcomed and encouraged.
I advocate for the principles outlined in the "design thinking" methodology.
By focusing on the user's needs and placing them at the centre of the process, design teams can create solutions and services that are more useful, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. It also encourages cross-functional teams to work together to solve problems, which can lead to more diverse perspectives and insights.
When it comes to working on-site or remotely, I now prefer to work remotely, using the appropriate tools to ensure clear and transparent collaboration and communication.
Naturally, I recognise that both approaches have their advantages. In-person, co-located meet-ups, with clear agendas and goals can be invaluable – especially with newer teams or when rapid iteration is required. However, with the rich technology at our fingertips today, I’ve seen how remote and distributed teams can accomplish even complex project goals with efficiency and creativity.
I’ve been lucky enough to work at some of the best companies, and for some of the coolest brands. Some of those include the BBC, Ballantine's, Barclays, British Gas, Canon, Dare, HSBC, McLaren, NatWest, Pernod Ricard, Sony, Vodafone, and Work Club. I've also worked with several startups, including Qredo, Tandem and Timber.
